Mary Stapleton, Ph.D. is the Director of Education and Workforce programs for the MdBio Foundation. The MdBio Foundation is a private non-profit corporation that seeks to advance Maryland’s bioscience industry. As part of this goal, MdBio is committed to assisting the development of a skilled workforce by providing bioscience experiences and career information to Maryland high school students through their flagship education program, the MdBioLab, a mobile bioscience laboratory. In addition to managing the education programs at MdBio, Dr. Stapleton also works with academic and industry organizations to ensure students are receiving relevant training for their entry into the bioscience workforce.
Dr. Stapleton received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Illinois, a M.S. in biology from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Ph.D. from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.
